What is Ativiti?
Sometimes, the biggest barrier to starting a project is figuring out the set of actions to get you from point A to point B. This is particularly true if it’s something you’ve never done before. How do I price a new product or service? How do I quickly eliminate debt? How do I get started on Twitter? Imagine if you knew the steps required to do each of these projects from the beginning. Wouldn’t it be a hell of a lot easier to start and finish them?
Ativiti is the intersection of how-to manuals and task management. Our mission is to share best practice guides that provide the individual actions required to complete specific projects, along with the tools to track progress as each action is completed. Our best practice guides are community generated by expert users who have completed the same project a hundred times before.
The experts out there have already figured out these steps. They simply need a way to capture and ‘widgetize’ them into a project plan anyone can use, like creating Ikea instructions for projects. For anyone out there who learns through practice problems and sample code, Ativiti is for you. Rather than just describe tips or policies for how to do something, we provide the explicit steps. Get rid of the project friction and those moments where you say “wouldn’t it be great to know how to…?” Ativiti offers up “this is how you can”.
